First off- I'm playing a 432 WRE campaign (after many restarts) and I'm worried of falling into the trap of, what seems to be, occupying settlements that drain my economy. For example, in one campaign I was about to expand into Spain and, even with the armies being paid for I was making 25k a turn. But when I overtook half of Spain, with a few units of cohortis vigilum as garrisons in the towns and even most of the armies depleted, I was losing money! Are there specific ways to build up cities to avoid this, with a "get cash quick" building or strategy you could share? Cheers
Also, is it just me or is this forum dead? Doesn't seem that there's a lot going on in here, and I wondered if it's just the way things are or if there's some other forum being used? After playing EB and seeing the busy-as-hell forum I'm used to having a community of players who can all talk about the game and anything else, and it kinda takes a lot outta IBFD, which is great and definitely deserves more life. Just my two cents, stay safe (and post more)
