RIO IBFD Beoynd Roman Glory

I have installed this mod but I don't find where it starts. I see the old IBFD options and controls. No trace for a 462 campaign or smth ?! I thought there will be special icons on desktop but no.

Does smbd know smth on the question ? :hmmm:

Hi Dracula,

I'm not sure but It might be that you have the IBFD 7.0 downloaded? Please tell me what you have downloaded and what mod your trying to download over it. you might have the old IBFD 7.0 confused with the Rio IBFD Beyond Roman Glory. They are two different mods. The old IBFD 7.0 is now called the IBRR ..Names were changed to better reflect the era

Hi Riothamus,

I have IBFD 7.0 installed patched to 7.4. After that I installed Rio Beyond Roman Glory which should be 7.5. They are both in separate folders. But I guess it shouldn't be like that from your post ?!

OK :hmmm: I think you may have forgotten to do one thing before copying over the bi 1.6..? let me know if you did this
Within the rtw folder copy the bi folder and change the copied bi folder to rio

Dont forget the path III...many new additions

I copied and renamed the bi folder to rio and then installed rio over it. I don't see a difference.

Did you download these three mods? the Flagellum Dei needs to be downloaded first.

The download order
1-Rio VII Flagellum Dei
2-Rio Beyond Roman Glory
3-Rio Patch III

Hi Riothamus,i have the same problem as Dracula:I tell you what i did for install this Wonderful mod:
-I install again Rome Total War.
-I install the patch 1.3 and 1.5.
-I install Barbarian Invasion and the patch 1.6.
-I make a copy of bi folder and I call it rio.
-I install Invasio Barbarorum Flagellum Dei.
-I install Beyond Roman Glory.
-I take the Mod Switcher Patch III,I open it and find a folder called rio,i take it and drop in the folder Rome total war,this rio folder overwrite the current rio folder....
.....What is wrong?
I try it with Windows Vista service pack 1.....Help me!!!!

:hmmm: I know there is an issue with x copying files on vista. have you been able to download other mod switchers with your vista windows? I do have RaR non mod switcher version if ur unable to download the mod switcher version

I Try to install the non mod switcher version,and I have the same problem,I didn't find the Rio.exe file ,then I run IBFD and I find The Provincial Campaign BI-Warmap II!!!If I start it i find an error about starting date.....I don't understand...

Mmm,if I take JSGME maybe can I install correctly the mod?

Nothing,I try to install the not switcher version,the Rar version,I change the destination of BI.exe as you say but The program crash immediatly....I'm desperate...

Sorry for the troubles Claudio II Gothic. I'm not sure where this problem lies.... If its your Vista windows or just some simple explanation, to why this is happening.
For RaR Version:
-Your Rtw and BI files have to be clean, or in no way modified before copying the Rio Mod files over the vanilla RTW and BI files.
-Best to copy the entire rtw folder and use that for the rio mod to copy over. This way you can enjoy other mods or mod switchers on the original RTW folder.
- If the original vanilla version is modified then you will may have to uninstall everything completely.
-Make sure the destination path of the rio files is correct, that bi files are copying over rio bi files and rtw data files are copied over by rio rtw data
files.
- After downloading the mod check to see if its working before copying over the next patch.

Let me know if this helps ok

Thanks Riothamus,after 8 hour to install-uninstall rio and ibfd and many many attempts,Found how run this beautiful mod.
New units,new buildings,new factions,new cities,great!
I play it for less than 1 hour ,and it seems excellent!
But there is a little wrong thing:When Libius Severus governed,in Dalmatia there was the comes rebel Marcellinus,wasn't it?
Maybe in the BRG II,that i wanna play as soon as possible, this think will be corrected :-)

Meanwhile, I offer congratulations to all those who made this wonderful mod

IBFD BRG II wil be out very soon. In BRG I there are a few issues that needed to be straightened or cleaned up.

One question,BRG II will have the West Mediterranean map or the same map as BRG?

I try to installed BRG with the switcher mod,and I installed the patch III.After this I wrote the word what tell me Margio and the game run.At this moment when i Created a campaign during the loading the game crush,and it said me that wasn't found six or seven file textures.tga.Then I took them from IBFD's textures,I made a copy and I pasted them in the rio's textures folder...
The game now runs....and I'm very happy.I was persistent because I have this mod from July,and I was not yet succeeded to play it,I was bored.....

I edited the Roman Dalmatia coast widening the territory and giving it a powerful rebel army and navy with a strong military resource. Gave Noricorum back to the Romans and giving the powerful rebel Marcellinus the city of Salona, and the city just south of Salona. He has a strong rebel Roman army Unfortunetly I couldn't make him a Faction such as I did with Aedgius. + rep for you good man

Oh yes, the same BI War Map created by Ice Torque
