William Wallace won't spawn

I've played as Scotland until 1301 and William Wallace still hasn't spawned. Is there a way to force the event to happen?

I wasn't aware he was in the mod. Is he supposed to spawn?

He's supposed to spawn in vanilla. I don't know if they have him in SS. If they do, remember that the timings are a bit flexible. There is a bit of a window for these kind of events to happen. William Wallace may spawn at the end of the window in your campaign. Try waiting a bit longer.

I think Scotland has to be doing badly for him to spawn (like reduced to one region).

I think he spawns if England takes Edinburgh or is nearby Edinburgh. I played as England once and had Wallace spawn when I sent my first army into Edinburgh's region. It was fun seeing his army throw themselves upon my walls only to die.

It was fun, he rabble were killed by my guns before they neared me.

One time when I was warring Greeks at Durazzo, first cannon fire, their emperor died. pure luck I guess

Well the way that I found out that Wallace spawns is by playing as Lithuania and taking Aberdeen and Inverness. Once I found out that Wallace spawns, I had to play as him.

I've been unlucky though.

I started a new campaign to see if that would help but still nothing and I'm at 1290, England is at war with me and currently besieging Edinburgh, I barely have any military, and I only have 20,000 florins (and I'm the richest faction in the game).

William wallace spawns when:

It's past turn 70 and Scotland has 2 settlements, or

It's past turn 110 and a Scottish settlement was taken by a foreign force.

Often the scots will beat England to a pulp and WW will appear when I decide to take the isles myself....
