    Default stability

i had the original invasio barbarorum intstalled (ver 7.03) but it was just to unstable so i uninstalled it. i was wondering what the most stable version of invasio barbarorum is. (is it another version like SOMNIUM APOSTATAE JULIANI, or RESTITUTIO IUSTINIANI, or something else? i really want to play but i can't. the ctd's were WAY to annoying.....

you instelled the IBFD with its script, didn't you?:hmmm:

well, none are more stable than the other-you just have to play without the IBFD script (you can play with the 4tpy script)
I haz a culler!! (really, who gives a darn? its totally meaningless, and it doesn't really accurately reflect who I am)

I suggest also to install the soundmod; you can find a sticky post about it.

...Then, during the campaign, when the mentor will appear saying "IBFD campaign script", you will have to click on the "show me" button to activate the script.

    Many thanks. +rep

What are the best settings? Full script on or off?

I don't really want 4tpy. Is this ok?

I'd suggest not the activate the full script option. Sometimes it causes CTDs. You don't have to play 4tpy either if you don't want to, but it'll be activated if you switch any other script options on as it is contained in them.

If you are using Soundmod you should activate 4TPY to obtain special Historical events (I'm finishing a WRE campaign with only 4TPY activated and the game was very stable), but if you don't care those events you can not activate any option.

Which version of the mod are you both playing?

I am going to reinstall Ruina Romae.

I tried installing rios mod, but all the add-ons and patches and fixes just did my head in. I just want to install a mod and start playing really. Best to wait until BGR2 is ready.

    What's this I hear about IBFD8?

Where do I install the 4tpy script?

Because it looks to me like I keep getting the full script, and mad things keep happening in my capaign. Like after hitting end turn. My faction suddenly changed to the Eastern Roman Empire. This happened after 2 turns.

    Go to /Programs/The Creative Assembly/Rome- Total War/IBFD/options/SCRIPTS/

    and click "NO SCRIPTS"

    Then click on "4TPY"

In the folder /Programs/The Creative Assembly/Rome- Total War/IBFD you should have a .txt file called "SCRIPTS" containing the name of the activated scripts.

    Hope this helps
