    Icon8 financial unbalance

Hi is there anyone else who have a question about this? or its just me, this is taken after 1st turn in campaign (Novgorod) and all other factions have boost up in financez, while not mine.. how is it possible to boost up like this in 1 turn?? then if it is why am i not that rich? is it something unfair to make the game "harder", like just add money to all others to have them more advanced?how does it work?? anyone got idea??

this is btw Stainless steel 4.1, but there have been the same on vanilla.

Stainless Steel 4.1 has a money script that gives the AI around 3000 florins per turn if their total amount of florins us under 30000. They might not be the exact numbers but it's something similar.

It looks like they probably just raised the taxes on all of their settlements. There is no way that they could have done more than that in two turns.

    The AI needs the money

so they can spam you with more useless armies that will crumble in the wake of your horse archers! MUHAHAHAHAHA!

well novgorod economy is terrible in the beginning. so that could be why you don't have the same results as they do. Or one of the reasons posted above.

Also you have 2 cities, france and the hre start out with alot more then 2. Even poland starts out with 3 (? not sure in 4.1) and hungary has venice and byzantines next to them as trading partners. It could be any of these reasons.

the problem is, antlion, its the same which faction I play, mine economy is extremly slow while others boost up as hell, LOL! I played England and still the same, I culd bring up all factions financial rank they all are above mine, its like Al do not pay army upkeep or I dont get money from taxes at all. getting really tired of it. maybe it wants me to cheat!LOL

I'm pretty sure the AI does not pay upkeep.

Possibly the AI didn't spend any money that turn, so they just gained profit, therefore increasing their revenue according to that chart?

Unlikely, the AI always puts their money to work spaming full stack armies in no time at all.

The AI tends to build slower -- that can be part of the effect. I would think a longer period woud give a clearer answer though. Some AI factions want to build only one type of unit. For example, Portugal will spam an entire stack of mailed knights at Pamplona and wait until bankrupt and then they convert to rebels. Since the mailed knights cannot be recruited faster than recruitment rates there can be a pause and then build several in one turn. Just an idea.

actually I've noticed something interesting. When I play a rich faction like one of the italian ones, the AI suddenly has massive amounts of money. I played as milan and after about 30 turns I was making bank and sitting around 60,000 florians. But I was one of the lowest financial nations. Yet when I play norway and I'm skating around 15-20k florians, I'm in the middle of the pack in financial terms. I think it's partly which faciton you play.

talk about an underdeveloped country, russia is just that at start.

Leave it to the modder to perfect the works of the paid developers for no profit at all.

robbo is right. A script in the SS mod gives the AI money every turn. This helps it to feild more armies and make the game more fun and challenging for the player.

To help out your economy you can raise taxes to very high in your cities, build moneymaking improvements, and disband some of your army to save on upkeep. Expanding into the neighboring rebel provinces will also boost your tax base.
