Default McCain and the Greater Depression

So McCain had closer ties to the people who caused the largest bank failure and market crash in American history than Obama ever had to Acorn or Ayers.

What do you have to say about that?

WASHINGTON – Freddie Mac secretly paid a Republican consulting firm $2 million to kill legislation that would have regulated and trimmed the mortgage finance giant and its sister company, Fannie Mae, three years before the government took control to prevent their collapse.
In the cross hairs of the campaign carried out by DCI of Washington were Republican senators and a regulatory overhaul bill sponsored by Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb. DCI's chief executive is Doug Goodyear, whom John McCain's campaign later hired to manage the GOP convention in September.

Very disappointed. I just can't believe it. Is this actually verifiable by a Non Democratic source?

To me this seems as if the whole Hero McCain I have come to respect and admire has some really bad consultants.

First the "Economy's sound" then this... Both can be attributed to bought and paid for consultants, but shouldn't John McCain know better by now?

In case people have forgotten some of today's McCain top advisors abandoned him when he looked that he would be defeated by Juliani.

I keep an open mind about this, as I fear it is just smoke. It deffinitely needs to be verified by someone other than a Democrat. If this is true however, then these are dire news indeed for John McCain. Sold out by his own advisors, his own party. Not a good way to treat a man who suffered for his country as much and as long as John McCain did.

If this is true, I can't see a "Straight talk express" out of it.

3 pages of your 'argument' being slapped around changes nothing in this thread.

Bush Bush already demonstrated how that is distorted and to a large degree incorrect.

I'm glad to hear that you feel that way because it is more than they've got connecting Obama to either Ayers or Acorn, yet the McCain camp keeps pushing that.

Oh come, you should know that linking to a thread in which your argument is losing is not genius tactics.

No. That's a Republican Tactic. Like the Brooks Brothers Riot in 2000.

I just need at least 4 years of democracy between the periods of Feudalism sponsored by the GOP.
I've really had enough of Bush and McCain is just bringing more of the same.

    Nah, not really.

Every time I read the Presidential threads here and the blogs, news commentaries and articles elsewhere on the internet on top of hearing McCain-Obama fan boys, and watching the Youtube 'opinions'....I lose more and more hope in Democracy.
