Default Adding a few more additional regions to this mod...

Would it be possible for me to add the following regions to the KGCM, or has the mod used all available regions?

    England: Carlisle; Warwick; Lincoln

    France: Poitiers; Lyon; Orleans

    Southern Italy: Messina; Taranto

    Wales: Pembroke

EDIT: Also wanted to ask, does this mod work seperate to the imperial campaign. I.e can I still play my own modded version of the imperial campaign?

Yep, I think the regions max is 200 if I remember correctly. I'm still well below that so you could add some new regions if you wanted.

No, this mod will only work in the Grand Campaign provided. Feel free to make whatever changes to it you wish for your own private use. But I will not provide technical support for moddified versions of this mod.

    I fully understand.

One final question, I now have a clean install of both me2tw and kingdoms, with the main campaign unlocked. Currently versions 1.03 & 1.04. Do i need to install any other patches than what is already on the kingdoms disk?

    Thanks.

No, you don't actually need to install patch 1.5 (Kingdoms) to run this mod. But as long as your sure you have the correct patch for your region you can install it anyway if you want. People have messed up with the patch before and then complained that the mod isn't working.

As far as having the correct patch for my region, I'm using the official UK patchs' provided with the kingdoms DVD, so hopefully the rest should go smoothly. I will be playing a campaign before I mod it, so all things going well, I will post back and give some feedback.

Thanks for the mod and the information dave.

I wouldn't add to England, since it the battles are already epic enough there. I do like Orleans, I don't understand why it was not in the game anyway; it was pretty major in the Hundred Year's War. Thank you for making such an awesome mod!

main reason for me adding to england and france was basically so that it acted like a sub mod itself of the hundred years war. I could try and post some screen shots of the regions Ive added to this fantastic mod if you like.

Could you upload those cities so I could use them too? I would love some extra cities in England, France and Italy.

Oki, as soon as I find out how to post screen shots on here I'll add some. Not being funny but give me a day or two... very very busy at the moment.

As for uploading the modified map, I would love to, but don't know how to, also, I would like the permission of Dave scarface before uploading any modifications to his mod. I'll see what I can do.

I would support one ore regions in southwestern france, but that is about it really. I feel like adding any more regions to the british isles would just be far too crowded and would also skew the mods bias more towards british isles factions, since more cities=more income and more income=more powerful factions.

Ok screen shots posted as requested. You can see the extra regions added. Hope this is what you were looking for.

Oh yeah, as for adding more regions to the UK, I did so because I felt it would give the British Factions a more personalised campaign allowing them to take longer to conquer the british Isles. Because I have modded the recruitement system and a few other small changes to this mod it works rather nicely as a kind of sub campaign.

The extra regions were added to france to make france a little more powerful and to take advantage of a hundred years war situation between france and england.

Added Strasbourg to germany and relocated Hohenstauffen to geographically correct position on the map. Germany therefore has an extra castle.

Finally I replaced two cities in the southern Italian region with a single castle - Taranto to even things out a bit.

I've managed to change the recruitment system so that it's a lot more balanced, and am still working on making the factions a little more balanced. Also modded it so that Spanish regions don't get immediatley taken over by the french to allow spain to become a more balanced faction. All that I want to do now is make Egypt a bit stronger, HRE more powerfull and scotland last longer. England is well on the way to kicking the welsh out of the game, rather than the other way round. I found it very annoying to see england being totally subdued by the welsh, irish and scottish in the firt 20 turns of the game.

Looks good. I'll have to try this if it becomes a submod.
