Its kind of a Polish issue, since the OP is from Poland, it must be just that.

About the half of all Poles dont have a bank account, even president Cash-insky has none(no joke). Thats kinda strange, considering Poland is really on the move economicly.

I thought it was trying to address the credit crisis and it's links with the current over reliance on credit, and subsequent cheap issuing of it by banks.

Why is there no way to select both? I probably am about 50/50 on this. I'll pay for things of any amount (from a dollar up) on a card, but I'll use cash for the same transactions. It all depends on whether I have cash with me I guess, or how I'm trying to budget my money. It's easier for me to throw money away without realizing how much I've spent when I use a card. So if I have a lot of cash in the bank, I use the card without thinking. If I'm limited on funds, I'll withdraw a 20 or something and use that to pay for everything for a while (so I know how much I've spent over time).
