With the permission of the fuzz, I remake this thread. Why?
1. The time has arrived to hold an annual contest...
2. I have made pictures to ease your job with some awards.

It is image-heavy, so be patient... until then... read and think.

We all get a little close to some our legions. Don't deny it, you know you save your favorite for the most glorious campaigns. This topic asks to you give awards to your legions! I'd love to hear reasons too! You can have runner ups as well.

If you can think up any other good awards, post those, and I'll edit them into here!

Go XXII primigenia

They are the best, so put them down for everything good. I can't remember which is the worst.

The primigenia have almost no casualties every time, and they don't mess around, just get the job done. THEY HAVE NEVER ROUTED!!!

They also look kwl.

The rubbishy looking ones are the one with the usual legionary rectangle shields, but have auxiliary type chainmail and leggings. They should have skirts and the platey armour.

What do you exactly mean with "auxiliary type chainmail"? And those leggings, you mean the feminalia I assume? Those were very common and used by a lot if not all soldiers in colder parts of the empire.

I've had I Germanica fight its fair share of tough battles. In every battle, whether they were outnumbered 2:1, they've always come out on top, with meager casualties compared to that of the enemy. Once fought a battle with them at a river crossing in Pannonia, in the depths of winter, against the Dacians, who outnumbered me about 2 1/2 to 1. They had hordes of spearmen, falxmen, and cavalry, and with this particular river having no bridge, they threw every man they had at me all at once; my cohorts, while in defensive formation, unleashed their javelins upon them. Scores fell with every volley, however, their numbers ensured they reached my lines to give me a fight. The Dacians fought as bravely as they could, but couldn't overcome the determination of the men of I Germanica, who soon went on the offensive when the Dacian army's numbers were cut by 2/3. I Germanica pressed their advantage and the Dacians were soon in a full scale rout, however, they didn't get very far as my cohorts cut many of them down as they fled. Of the 5,500 Dacians that entered the battle, perhaps less than 300 escaped the battle with their lives to tell their countrymen of the horrors they faced against a solitary Roman legion.

The Little Legion That Could: Legio IV Scythica. After killing macedon I recruited these guys and marched them across europe to kick the gauls out of northern italy, they went on to take three gallic cities without ever getting any replacements (too far away) I love this Legion.

Mine is the X for the historical value, it was of course the best of caesars legions, though my favourite is XXII Primigenia, i use it all the time, and it looks badass, white shields with guilded armour ? You cant beat it.
