Default [Citizen] [FAILED 25/10/08] Xavier Dragnesi (Patron: Prince_of_Macedon)

    Patron: Prince_of_Macedon
I am here to promote one of my online comrades, Xavier_Dragnesi, to the status of a Citizen. Dear Xavier has applied twice already, and has been denied each time. I told him repeatedly not to worry about it, and that he could still enjoy the benefits of the TWC without being a Citizen. However, my comrade, Xavier, believes that being a Citizen is something special though, and he is determined to obtain this honor.

Xavier_Dragnesi has done many things to help the TWC and Rome: Total War in general:

    1) Xavier holds Ladder competitions for Rome: Total War Online players. His Ladder has already reach its Third Season. Here's the Ladder Thread for the Third Season. On top of my competitions, Xavier_Dragnesi has done much to promote the improvement of player tactics via online competition.

    2) Xavier has also taken part in the new AAR Forum's writing competition (showing off his versatility as a forum member). His latest foray into writing has earned him the Bronze Medal for his "All Leads To Rome" AAR. Here's the result. And feel free to read his AAR if you have time.

    3) Aside from this, he is still an avid participent in the You Are the Senate forum. This is such a great way to promote the lifestyle of a Roman as various member role-play. Here's his latest proposal in that sub-forum.

    4) Xavier has also followed in my footsteps by making online-commentary battles for Rome: Total War. Feel free to listen to Xavier talk as he plays R:TW online here. That's his New Zealand accent you hear.

Not many people take such an active & diverse role on the TWC. He is a well-rounded member who deserves to be a Citizen. And most importantly, he believes that being a Citizen is a position of honor. How many people forget this?

Thank you for taking the time to read my humble submission. Please consider everything that Xavier_Dragnesi has done for this forum.

    Sincerely,
    Prince_of_Macedon.

Members of the Consilium de Civitate,
Once again, I have decided to try for the prestigious position of Citizen in the Total War Centre Forums. In the three months between now and my last attempt, I believe that I have achieved much that would be considered worthy of a citizenship.
My contributions are now spread across a wide range of places in the forum. In the Rome: Total War forum, I continue to organise my King of the Hill multiplayer competition, now with its new rules to satisfy the participants, and is quite a success, now in its third round. I also continue to help new players with their questions, and give suggestions for mod-hunters using the experience of the many mods I have obtained from the site. If there is any criticism to make, I strive to keep polite and well-mannered.
In the new United AAR forum, my activity there is vast. I am a chief moderator in all three RTW based RPGs. In YATS, I am an active member and help Winter with the administration of the subforum. In TFT, I gave ideas for whole new reform, contributed to advertising and am currently managing the Gallic campaign, with an interview featuring in the next “Eagle Standard”. In Imperium, I helped format its beginning and pushed its development, though the disappearance of the main director has put that RPG out of action for the moment. Finally, I have my own AAR to present, the Syracusan AAR “All Roads Lead to Rome”, which has won me the RTW AAR competition hosted by Powerwizard, and gained me a bronze AAR medal.
Finally, I have also gone outside those two places of activity to the Discussion and Debate forums, and ventured slightly into the Travellers Lodge. In the Discussion and Debate, the Vestigia Vetustatis is dotted with my posts where I have contributed information and thoughts on a wide range of historical topics that I have knowledge of, and have participated actively in the Quiz, winning it 3 times in the past couple of weeks. There is also a very light sprinkle of my posts in the Ethos, Mores et Monastica, where I contributed some of my more philosophical thoughts. Also, in the Travellers Lodge, I have put up some great pictures featuring my country’s wonderful landscape.
All in all, I believe my achievements and contributions in the past few months, added together with what I have done in total since I signed up to the Total War Centre Forums, I believe that this qualifies me for the position of Citizen.

A no from me, but not a completely shut door. I think he needs more time to grow into the roles he is currently fulfilling. He shows every sign of becoming an excellent member, but I can't justify giving him citizenship yet. I don't see his contributions as enough for now. Still, with his attitude I am sure he will don the badge soon enough. My advice would be to try and contribute away from the community AAR's, since although I consider them some contribution I demand a very high effort in that area for it to mean something. Winter for example with his founding and keeping up YATS for over a year, spending hours doing that.

A bit more time and polishing is all. I just don't see anything massive in any one area, though a jack of all trades isn't bad, just needs something more. If he continues down this path and isn't a one-hit-Oneder then by all means!

Cause it hurts me so just to see you go,
    Around with someone new,
And if I know you you're doin' that thing,
Every day just doin' that thing,
I can't take you doing that thing you do

Gosh, I feel sorry if this guy joins the CdeC and takes a gander at his citizen application thread. Poor man. Sorry in advance Xavier_Dragnesi!

Shame he won't get citizenship this time around. I think he is deserving, but guys, let's get some more votes in.

There do seem to be very few posts here abouts.
