    Default Aum Shinrikyo

The Japanese cult (currently known as Aleph) which was behind the 1995 sarin gas attacks on the Tokyo subways which killed 12 people and disfigured hundreds.

They are not classified as a terrorist organization. They are recognized by the Japanese government, and the only sanction against them is that they are required to turn over membership records to the police.

They claim to be a religious organization, yet organized a terrorist attack. Their former cult leader, responsible for the attacks, is still revered. Those responsible for the attacks have been sentenced to death, yet none have been executed and no dates have been provided for when they will be.

    How is this right?

Patron of Felixion, Ulyaoth, Reidy, Ran Taro and Darth Red
Co-Founder of the House of Caesars

Maybe the police simply don't have enough evidence to solidly link the group's leadership to the crimes.

"Asahara had strongly spoken against oily meats and junk foods, deeming them a tool of a Judeo-Freemason conspiracy."

This is not good, the Jews and Masons are in cahoots.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"Deep-fried prawns, however, were found in his refrigerator after the capture."

    If you look here

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital...hment_in_Japan

you will see that the average period between conviction and execution in Japan is 5 to 7 years.

Shoko Asahara was sentenced to death by hanging on February 27, 2004.

Tokyo high court decided not to grant them leave to appeal on March 27, 2006. This decision was upheld by the Supreme Court of Japan on September 15, 2006.

So as far as why he hasn't been hanged yet...going on averages....give it time.
