How can I speed up attack rate?
As in how long it takes to attack someone?
I mean the usual it always takes like 1-2 seconds but how do i make it so its like 0.5-1.5 seconds or somin like that?

It's not attack rate but the delay to switch weapons. It has no effect on the weapon itself.

Yes but have you tried it actually?
I used it for missile weapons and it has absolutely no affect at all. Also the slowness problem is here even when there is no delay - check the animations and you'd see. I think there are "faster" animations made by EB or SigniferOne.. it seems editing animations is the only method to truly speed up attack rate.
PS: The EDU guide doesn't come from CA. It offers tips not referencesYou still have to try these things by yourself to know if they really work.

The Guide is definitely not from CA, but min_delay does work and it has been tested (for melee battles only). Have two identical units fight with just a min_delay difference and you'll see the difference - it depends on the animations as well though. But yes, it's the delay between animations, not the length of the animation itself.
I see. I just tried to add the delay for cavalry and they did work - look very weird though (like pause between attacks)

Well, it's not supposed to be perfect, it's just a balance tool and CA did use it as they should - they set it at a value slightly higher than the minimum they should.
Just for the record, I have not included in the Guide even one thing that I have not personally tested over and over. Not to say it's impossible it has mistakes, but it's not random info I threw in there.
Yeah, but unfortunately we can never know the full things until CA gives us some modding reference guide
BTW have you tested the secondary HP thing in RTW-Alexander? It seems to have effects on campaign AI (to judge the strength of armies) but not in auto-resolved battles... :hmmm:

I suggest you to decrease the value to 0 for all units, regardless of the attack rates you want for them.
It would improve attack rate slightly (all attacks in RTW are too slow IMHO) and also make the battle visual more smooth. However, if you want even faster attack rates, editing text wouldn't be an option...

To edit animations you'll need 3dsMax I think, which is not the easiest of software to use... It has a 1-month free trial, but it takes some time to get the hang of it (and it costs 3,000 USD).
