That's really nice and all....but by the time it comes down in price, there'll be something to top it.

But it's GREAT if you're gonna put it in a skeleton benchmarking rig...otherwise....meh. It's got more features than what 98% of even benchmarkers would ever use. Not to mention that some of those features already come on older motherboards.

It's a nice Mobo I'll give it that, But dosnt it cost 600$+? Thats what I paid for most of my components in my PC 0_o......

Seems like a nice board, but I'm putting off buying a new mobo anytime soon. I'm looking at Larrabee type hardware and wondering if things are going to take a huge shift soon.

Hell, there's a chance that Larrabee on a Mac with Snow Leopard's Grand Central would be the best possible gaming machine - but that's just speculation.

Oh ya...and I have that sound card. It's the same one that comes with all ASUS' high-end mobos...and it sucks! It's their high-end "onboard sound"
At least it's not "onboard", but it still crackles, pops, and is prone to interference just like onboard.

Even with all that money spent on the mobo, I'd still spring for an M-Audio, Auzentech, or at least an X-Fi.

...and after seeing all the stuff that thing comes with, it's no surprise that it's so expensive. You're not really paying for more motherboard. You're paying for all the extra crap that comes with it.

Strange Pentup, I'm using a ASUS P5K Premium and my sound is clear as day, I was actually quite impressed! that's with onboard and I have no problems with it.

Is it true onboard? Or one of those ASUS AC97 PCIe sound cards?
