Default Interview With the American Militia (old But interesting)

i believe many will find this interesting.
If you agree or disagree with any of the points raised or countered in this interview, it still makes a good watch and gives some insight into how the militia today is organized and what motivates them.

    Part 1

    Part 2

    Part 3

    Part 4

Now on this one, part four, it is claimed the militia "have no idea what the 2nd ammendmant says" and a display on the screen says it is this.

--A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.-

now im sure americans here can clarify this for me, but im sure it in fact says

-A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.-

    anyway.

    These guys are still around,
and indeed from what i understand, their numbers have grown since the recording of this (about 15 years or so ago)

I strongly suspect that their numbers are growing, the closer BHO gets to the White House, my friend.

The people are the militia. Not the National Guard, not the Reserves, the people. If the people want to take whatever shafting they're about to get laying down, that's their prerogative.

    Not I, though, not I.
Yes, I hate the fact RTW is out and I still have a Japanese title. Come on now admins- let's get with the program.

Well I certainly agree that there should be an non government regulated militia of the people but those people seem to just be another group of conspiracy theorists and they are now defunct
"July 14, 2008: I think this is a case where Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are fundamentally sound. They're not in danger of going under. They're not the best investment these days from a long term standpoint going back. I think they are in good shape going forward. They're in the housing market. I do think their prospects going forward are very solid."

I haven't seen all of this, but this show, and the host, is terrible. Hes constantly accusatory, constantly condescending. The general idea of a militia to safeguard civil rights is a positive one. I am not sure about everything they stated though.

The people are the militia, these guys are mostly loons, and survivalists. Think of them as to the average American gun owner, what Concilium Plebis is to the average Pleb.

Also, a huge slice of their numbers, are White Supremacist Neo-Nazi , the average gun owner does not support these guys, nor see them as "compatriots."

Umm...prove it. Every documentary I have seen on militia has come up with them being normal people from blue or white collar, who are simply concerned about the potential threat of Government. Obviously there are loons, but a statement of such a grandiose nature requires evidence to back it up, so bring the evidence.

Take a look around the ing movement thats all the proof you need.

Also, if you look at the regular militia groups sites, they usually have to go out of their way to let you know their not white supremacist. They know as well as I do, their movement is corrupted by those ers.

Yes one should be concerned about the potential threat of government. But theres a difference between concern and making a freakshow out of yourselves.

Swearing does not an argument make. I have looked at the moment and found normal people, I have looked and found tin hat conspiracy theories, I have looked and found sociopaths, White supremacists and more. That however, does not conclusively prove one general or prevailing trait of this group of people.

A few people spin tales about a few other people, and labels get attached. We see it all the time, especially recently; McCain has been effectively labeled a neo con despite his well known moderation.

And have they crossed the line? Again, you have made no argument.

The Second Amendment states in full:
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

American Militias are simply average people who believe that they can contribute to the security of America by remaining well trained. While it may seem a little out dated, there is nothing wrong with it. They simply love their country.

I regularly frequent emergency preparation sites as well as have recently started going to meeting with a local shooting group has weekly. These type of groups act as knowledge bases for the exchange of ideas. Each week there is a different topic, like water filtration, map navigation, backpacks. It acts more like an adult version of scouts, but more importantly it allows networking of prepared individuals who would most likely form a civilian militia if things became dire.

remember, a militia in most aspects is nothing more then a group of individuals who act like neighborhood watch groups in that they are highly away of whats going on around them, and want to prepare to make sure they are not out in the cold in case bad things do happen. Alot of the people who form militas and emergency groups are people who work in the field like EMTs, military persons, vets, fire fighters, cops.

When the SHTF these will be your community leaders.
