Playing with the Mongols in Custom Battle

I was going to play with Kievan Rus agaisnt mongols and in my amazed no mongols to play against lol.What happen!? You guys did not put the mongols avaible in custom battle? Also you guys should put to the Grand Duchy of Moscow in this Ducky that unified Russia as whole and finaly defeat the mongols.

Simple enough to do yourself, hardly a reason for kvetching.

Faction limit has long since been reached. There are some very good tutorials on swapping one faction for another. Why don't you do so and put out a submod?

To be able to select the Mongols in Custom Battle you just have to alter a line in the descr_sm_factions file. The file is found in C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data and you must change this

and be sure to change any other faction into a NO in custom battle availability because there is a limit to how many faction can be played in custom battle. So for each faction you swap in you must swap one out. Hope thats clear if not just let me know

I have a question, is there a way to put all the troops for selection in custom battle? cause it seems like most factions only have early campaign selections.

i don't see osgilia(or something) in the Irish selection

In the same screen where you select the battlefield, there is a drop-down somewhere on the screen in which you can choose troop availability by period: early, high, late or all. Just look for "early" somewhere on the screen.
