    Default Sea Trade

What does everyone find is the most wealthiest sea? Which area of the water generates the most income through trade?

I find the Baltic and Aegean the most profitable, but the Adriatic trade routes can bring in quite a lot as well.

Even around Levant, the waters are clogged with trade routes. What's everyone else's thoughts?

Spartan this could question could be asked a in another way ( What city as the better income). The reason I'm saying this is because it's more of a Citty thing and not where on the sea is your Port situated.

    For Example:
1- Vienna, probably one of the best income city I had and she is landlocked, no ports I made about 9000 florins per turn imaging if I had a port.

Antioch probably the best city in the game IMO. I made 12000 florins per turn with it.

Venice, should be one of the best trade city but it isn't in this same campaign I made about 6 000 florins and this with all the same buildings builded in Antioch.

In my humble opinion the cities are scripted

Some are better for trade , some or better to revolt, some the growth is extreme and others it take triple time to get the same Population.

Maybe I'm getting far but my point was that the sea trade is more scripted by the settlements.

Good points, but I'll try and explain myself a little better:

As we know, TW revolves around economy, and the best way to get a decent economy is to control the sea trade. I'm just wondering what each player's personal preference is on the most lucrative trade routes in a certain sea.

For example, with each city in the Baltic plying the Baltic Sea trade, every city can make it least 4k. The Aegean is about the same - Athens, Thessalonica, Nicaea and Constantinople can make a lot of money because of the many profitable trade routes.

However, I find plying the North Sea trade isn't as much as a cash cow as the area around Antioch / Jerusalem for example.

Just wondering what everyone's preferance are on the best sea to trade.

Also, yes Vienna is just a freak of nature - I don't know how a landlocked city can make over 6k

Mines and lots of good trade resources. That's why Stockholm is so good. It's got great mines, great resources and on top of it all it is on the sea.

I agree. I would also go with Constantinople; giving me at least 5-8k per turn...

Antioch is probably the Best city in this game

the Landlock one is Vienna and I agree with the member who said that Stockholm rocks, playing as Danes you need to take that city, it grows fast the the money it brings in helps alot.

I agree with you but if you look at History and also the description of Venice in the game(where you choose the faction you want to play) it clearly states that they are great traders. So I tought that Venice should be as good as Antioch just for that.
