So if so is it any good, I was afraid of renting it :hmmm:

Synopsis: A moving historical epic about the life of Genghis Khan, a great leader born as a slave. Khan rose to power, conquering over half the world, including the vast country of Russia.

I have seen it, nice movie I would say. But if you like a battle-action movie you will be disappointed. (Also you will see some unusual face of Mongols).

I am not a expert on Mongol history so I cant say it is historically correct or not.

Btw, I am not quite sure if this is correct place to talk about movies.

I've read the histories of the great Khan but I havent seen the movie, mainly because I'm worried they'll take too many liberties and haze up the true history of it.

I just saw it, it was the most non-historical, cheesy thing I have ever seen. I don't recommend it.

Yeah, it's not very historically correct, and the battle scenes aren't that good either. However it had nice cinematography; big sweeping shots of the Mongolian wilderness etc.

I have seen it and I honestly was very disappointed. I was excited after seeing the trailer and when it first came out, but the movie left alot to be desired. It started off good (first 10 minutes) but as the movie progressed it seemed like there were huge gaps in time missing and kinda looked as if the porducers/directers slapped some scenes together. I don't believe it is entirely historically accurate and the fight scenes were absolutely horrible. Also, not sure if you know this but the version of the I saw movie had subtitles (didn't bother me, but not sure if that is your thing). Hope this helps.
