Best strategy against the Mongols with the turks

I'm now playing as the turks, and as i already noticed while playing with other factions, the mongols are a big threath, but now, as the turks, how can i best defeat them, kill them before they have a city/castle or when they have a sttlement, and if before, where, and with what forces do i need to kill them.

Does anyone have ideas?

I would suggest that you be ready for quite a battle, Here are some tips

1- Don't battle them on an Open field. Defend a city or castle it would be better.
2- Take Antioch as they will go there for sure and protect it (WITH YOUR LIFE Lol)
3- Be sure to upgrade your Archers to Jannissary Archers as they have the hability to lay stakes before the battles starts.
4- Put a unit of theses archers in front of the gate and lay stakes there
5- Look at your city and what rout the will take the get in your city's center. Lay another JA there and make them lay stakes their.
6- Place your Infantry in front of that rout to block them from attacking your archers be sure your archers or behind and take of the skirmich mode so they keep their position.
7- Start the battle and get your two units of archers(that Layed stakes) units to run behind your defensive line are ready for battle.

This is how I have beated 4 full stacks attacking me at the same time

You can't upgrade like lte's say peasant archers to JA. You need to evolve your tech tree, you need to build your archery range to almost the last level, then and only then you'll be able to recruit JA.

And Yes stakes can be used defending a bridge you can't put them on the bridge but you can put it just in front like with gates

Stakes absolutely decimate cavalry, which the mongols seem to like. Excellent advice from Rebel, I urge you to take it.

I agree with the way stated on that thread but as he suggest that you battles them in a specific place on the map sometimes you can't so the best way is still my way IMO

no. his army composition and tactics can be used anywhere in the open and you can take out 2-3 stacks of mongols with it. i've done it myself, and i'm rubbish on the battle map - and it was much more fun than any siege.
