Leaders Crash my game

I am playing RG and im in 120 BC, I started my game to day to finish it off, but right when i clicked on my Genreral the game crashed!!! I decided to reload the game and click on my faction leader, nothing hapened, so then I thought everything was fine and clicked on another general... and guess what

, the game crashed again. Why is this happening?

Actually I left my game running and didn't touch a thing and over time it just crashed, If I wait 10 seconds it will just crash. i don't get it?

Your first post sounds like an ancillary for your generals isn't right. The -show_err switch as Brusilov said can help find it.
Your second post sounds pure hardware as in heat related. Is your video card getting too hot or maybe you have a fan about to die?

Alright I will do what you said about the show error thing, But with the timed crash, I don't believe its hardware, because I started a new game and left it on for 10 minutes. But we will see what happens next, maybe it was a brief hardware mess up and fixed it self i dont know.

wait this is what my shortcut already looked like with no error message

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:RG -nm -show_err

Actually there is no error message that comes up every time I crash.

Add the -show_err switch to the shortcut target. It may bring back an error message.

Does this happen for all games or just RTW?

It sounds like there may be something wrong with your PC.

To be honest, with a switch like the no movie switch being in front of the show error switch, I never could get the thing to give me an error message. Could you remove the -nm run it looking like this? "C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:RG -show_err

Two things that will not give an error message: a bad save file of which it could be, or an animation text file not pointing to whatever info it is supposed to be looking for. I have had family members in the wrong family slots of the descr_strat do it. I have heard of ancillaries looking for dead people. I t could just be one of those glitches in the game engine that never got fixed. If it's a mod, the chances for errors increase and never to be found and fixed.

The error message will be things that are trapped by the program - files missing usually. As irishrion has stated there isn't always an error message associated with a CTD.
