Cant install rtw patch 1.3

I cant install patch 1.3 because wen i'm in stalling it say's : no prior installation of rome total war please help me out

so i installed patch 1.3 and 1.5 but wen i install SPQR mod and im tyring to play it its just my normale game !!

did you install the mod to the correct directory?

if you are using gold edition you don' t need to patch the game to 1.3 and 1.5 becous it already is patched to version 1.5

why do you want to open a map from the data? did you get the autoinstaller?

oke lets try some thing new, i don' t know if this will work but its worth a try.

- install your Rome total war game and patch it to version 1.5 (if your not using gold edition)
- copy the folder to your desktop
- try installing the spqr mod to your desktop rtw folder.
- replace it to your hard disk and change the launch target of the desktop icon

try doing it like this :

the original rtw patched to 1.5
C:\program files\Activation (or sega)\Rome - Total war

replacing your desktop copy. make an extra folder on your HD named SPQR. it should look a like this.
C:\program files\SPQR\Activation (or sega)\Rome - Total war

now changing the desktop icon target. left klik the icon so you select it (don' t dubble click it) right click ---> properties ---> go to tab shortcut ---> target and change this to "C:\program files\SPQR\Activation (or sega)\Rome - Total war\RomeTW.exe"

i hope this will work but i am not sure. i will keep looking on the forum for a solution.
