OK so I kicked the Carthaginians out of Italy and taken all of Italy. So Now I'm defending the Northern Italy from the gauls and I have one city in Sicily but the problem is that most of my citys have negative income and i barely make money and if anyone could help me it would be good.

Take care that especially at the beginning of a campaign you should build up your economy very fast.
So build roads, ports and traders in your cities everytime you can. You should focus your military just on 2-3 cities.
At the beginning after Carthage is out of Italy they are no threat any longer so far, so you can focus on your northern borders to defend against the gauls. In the meantime you can build up your economy and if you have troops left take sicily.

- roads
- traders
- mines
- shipyards

these are the buildings that will help you to get more money. also set taxes on very high.

Mines are easily one of the most important things you can build. Make sure Arretrium and Rhegion both have them.

lol, ok so first on your frst turn take your legions out of capua, (get town watch from the neerest town low tax in capua) dont take it neerer your other legion... take it to the other path and if theopanes sees you maybe heel attack next turn, if you dont attack hanibal theopanes and hannibal will attack your 1 legion at once.

put all taxes on very high and reduce them acordingly, once your economy is brining in about 8,000 denarii per turn... this is the time... well... the time to... onhiolate those spartan ******** i started into greace by sending a diplomat and a spy there.

i find playing
campagn dificulty easy you dont need to recruit more men untill you are into greece, (i said recruit not retrain)

battle dificulty medium... what am i a noob? ok i confess im a noob...

it will take 10 turns (2 and a half years using garrason scrypt 5 years if not)

then about 4-3 turns retraining and making a fleet, btw use castra for your fleets as you recruit the best ships there, you will most likely need them

i have whole of greace and 2 towns north of it, a fleet patroling my western shores from greek invasion from asia minor, and am rebuilding my western italian fleet because they got decimated by pirates and heck i out numbered them, but i supose thhey had more exp...
and my south western fleet is fairing well against the greeks, (i first realised i needed this when the greeks started attacking with there remaining sPaRtAnS wasnt easy for the garrison of that town though, i only just won (i traind some hastati and recruited mercs when i saw the greeks)

i gave 20k to the galls (me was saving for that...) but the bastards are being gay and wont attack me, the first time they did my dad needed the comp and game came stoped me from ctr esc'ing boy was i mad i lost 400 soldiers to those cursed gauls.. vengence though... oh no it will not got without punishments as im aranging for another 2 legions to decimate them... leaving them as a barrier against germany... mmmph 3 legions should do it... pluss half a merc army... and help from dacia (they asked for an aliance!!? omfg and the carthaginians gave me 843 denarii... lol!!) thats if theyle help me though... i will fund there conquest if they do..

and thats about it on my campagn i supose... oh yeah and i have a few promising generals in greace (one is 22 and has a larg triumph (22k men killed for the might of rome) the one is 16 and has 2 command 2 influence and like 5 loyalty. the other is 18 and has 2 command 1 influance 4 loyalty, each will soon command a legion (making total legion count in greece 5) and of course recruiting garrison cammanders and a decent garrison... the macedonians will be in for a shock when i break them and meet with my alies dacia and together we will destroy germainia and gaul! and gool amount of who ever occupise spain to! lol mmm maybe im bringing in 7k atm not quite 8k but it grows each turn... i think... lol whos counting?

no you can take it with 3, or 2 if you recruit garrisons and enslave population..

Wow where do I start....

Main points:

1) The game is designed to be played on M/M
2) House rules are apparently being broken left and right. I know its you game but I want the OP to understand this.

and no i do not play by house rules, i do not think they are nececryly "fun" as they where suposed to be... so i just play the game randomly.

are you saying they dont send stack after stack on easy? because thats my only complaint about SPQR,i dont mind fighting big armies, just i find it retarded that the AI kills off like 100,000 troops by sending stacks in over and over and over every turn

i invaded sicilia with 3 to 4 pre marius legions. i played it on the save side becous i knew there where a lot of spartan hoplites in the greek city. so it would be save to have that extra legion.

indeed it is and gaul is spamming stacks on me every game I play it is totaly scary to meet them I mean imagine 5 full stacks on you when you haven't even beaten back carthage yet...hannibal still in south italy

General abandons Sicily. When to leave Messana, destroys all the building and reverts in money for you. Of focus in Italy, it protects Cápua. It invests in roads, markets and ports.
Fighting against hanibal with 2 legions. If possible it uses a trap to cath him.
Against the elephants it uses the velites. It disperses military units that not will be to use. It fortifies the legions.
