In Notepad, press Ctrl+G and enter line number.

Or better yet use a different text editor like Notepad ++. Its free.

Hope you like it. You can also use custom language files for Notepad++ that will help you check syntax and spelling by changing the color of keywords.

Thank you, Green Eyed, Notepad 2 works like a charm. I hope, others in the similar predicament like I was find that tool for problem solving as well.

Fyi, Ctrl+G in Notepad only works if you de-select Word Wrap.

It only works if you have word wrap selected.
