Better America

Sorry if this is in the wrong section (I'm a noob)

I got to the point in MII where you invade the Americas.
At first I was all like 'Cool, a new area to own.' but when I got there and had my military totally decimated by endless hoards of Aztecs I was all Like 'Woh...' and now that I have overthrown the Aztecs the battles I play in the east seem to be somewhat 'Meh' ish...

(I have been looking) but I was wondering if there was any mod out there that really expanded the americas, making the whole of mexico available, and maybe some kind of North American tribes to the north. Does anyone know a mod?

First, Let me welcome you to the forums! Glad to have you here; and I hope you visit often.

Now, to your question: Yes, there is an awesome mod, which does EXACTLY what you described. It is called "Kingdoms." It is available for purchase in quality gaming stores near you (unless you live in, say, upper Elbonia).

Kingdoms has 4 special campaign themes. One of the four is an expansion of the Americas, just as you described in your post. The campaigns are a bit shorter: roughly half as long as the M2TW vanilla campaigns. But you are offered at least 6 different playable native factions including Apaches, Aztecs, Mayans, plus 'New Spain.'

I acquired Kingdoms, recently. I played as New Spain. I enjoyed it so much, My second Kingdoms campaign will not be from one of the other theme areas of Kingdoms; but, rather, I am playing in the Americas, again, this time as the Aztecs.

Buy the Kingdoms expansion pack and you'll get an Americas campaign spreading from something like Texas to Panama.

and a mod called the frontier is being developed, it pretty much uses all of america.

As I can't purchase Kingdoms because I have no money I will look more into this frontier mod.

Kingdoms doesn't seem right for me anyway, I would also like to fight the crusades and race with other nations to get to America before I do any American campaigning

The frontier will require kingdoms mate, Im sorry for that one but it will probably take some time before its finished.

Don't mess with Mexico my freind

, anyway there is a mod recomendations thread, but as you have already been told there is no America's mod for M2TW there is another mini mod of Amercia for kingdoms,In a Grand Campaign, but that is it.
