    Default Shield fix with Kingdoms?

    Hello everyone! I am new to the game and enjoying it very much so far. Just have a question, I haven't been able to find anything conclusive through wading through posts on various forums:

    Is the shield bug (shield value being subtracted from total defense instead of added) fixed? I have found information on a shield workaround (set shield value to 0 and add the value to other defense to make up for it), and in patch 1.5 readme it says:

    "Fixed various units having incorrect shield values."

    Although that kind of confirms that shields have been fixed (or there would be little point in correcting the values), I haven't found anything elsewhere..

    So what is the status on shields? Do they work as intended (offering protection from front and left) or do we just have to live with the shield workaround (adding shield value to overall defense)? If there is no fix, can't the shield value be set to a negative value, as subtracting a negative value would be the same as adding a positive value..?

    Any information appreciated.

    Yes it was fixed, I do believe all the way back in patch 1.2. In its time it was one of the major issues and CA fixed it asap. What the 1.5 readme is referring to with "fixed various units having incorrect shield values" is probably the fact that some units had no shield value even though they had a shield in their model (e.g. Dismounted Halbrudders).
