Hi all,

If you want I will send you my map file. It contains around a 100 new maps. Unfortunatly I can't give you my clans maps but the new ones should be enough.
I'll send it to you through PM.
OK, i had the same problem as you, and like my friend dafuge i also have loads of new maps i acquired. I also made loads of my own, all work online even if no-one else has them, as there made using the default campaign map.
Ok, first of all, you need to either unlock the battle editor or start a campaign.
To unlock the battle editor, right click on your RTW shortcut, go to properties and in the target line add -enable editor
It should look like this
The movie cam part isnt needed, i just have that for when i record my replays.
If you have done that, load up RTW and go to options, you should see battle editor there. When you click on it, it takes you to a screen where you have to pinpoint your cursor at the place you want your map. If you look to the box underneath the map you will see the X and Y co-ordinates of wherever your cursor is resting. Make a note of these!!
If you are doing it using a new campaign, everytime you fight and you think its a suitable battlefield, when you return to campaign map from battle, simply press your TILDE key (the key next to your number 1 and beneath ESC) and type in show_cursorstat. This will give you the X and Y co-ordinates for the exact place your cursor is pointing on the campaign map. Again, Make a note of these!!
Now you have your co-ordinates, you need to navigate through:
Program files/ Creative assembly/ Rome:Total War/ Data
Once your in your data folder, look for a notebook document titled custom locations. These are your maps that are used for online battles, if you go inside it you will see the listings for your default online maps.
Heres the italian lowlands
Notice how it goes into Sahara Desert, leaving a gap. Now at the bottom of this list, copy everything as in the other maps, but instead of Italian Lowlands put your own name, and in the location fields put your X and Y co-ordinates you acquired. The image field is just for the thumbnail you see when you select the map, so just use ones already from the game. Once you have done all this, save your changes and "Hey Presto", you now have your own battle maps for use online.
Beware, if you actually use the battle editor feature, unless someone else has the same files as you, you wont be able to actually edit the terrain.
Hope this helps, any problems feel free to ask and i'll try my best to help you more!
