    Default Music and Unit sound' related issues and testing

    What needs testing is making sure music works, that all units have voices, and that sound effects for the environment and strat map check out. Also post here if a song feels out of place.

    Music Testing is the same sort of thing as the rest of the testing, but any problems should be posted in this thread so it's easier for apple and Arn to keep track of them.

    the music is loads better but we still have long periods of silence during the battles. Any idea how to fix that? Also the general music volume needs to go up.

    Do you have music set at 100% in the sounds settings?
    I'm working on the battles. Allot of testings required.

    Do you have music set at 100% in the sounds settings?
    Good question - I've got it at default I should think, whatever that is.

    The only criticism I can levy against the music now is that the pieces are too short I like a full 3:00 track of music, and its a shame because you have some really good pieces here, and yet they seem so short.

    the sound Slingers make when they are powering up their shot is a little too loud and powerful. im loving the music, especially the gentle campaign ones. there is one track, however, that carries a bit too much pace ( Im playing as Carthage if that matters. ). it seems like it belongs in a battle.

    edit: its when you zoom into the slingers.

    Thanks mate, I'm sorry that I reply so late. Could you specify the name of that song. You find the name in descr_sounds_music.txt under Punic cultures and the songs in data/sounds/music.

    The slinger sound is the old vanilla, I see what I can do about it.

    Is there any way for me to get the horns to work? for some reason They still sound like Vanilla charge/ralley horns

    I just wanted to add that the Carthage music sounds perfect to me.

    One thing though, is the Vanilla warcry sound supposed to play with the new one? I like the new one with the horns and stuff, but the vanilla sounds are so lacklustre when played at the same time.

    It may be just my system, but I don't think so...

    The start of the music on the launcher is clipped I'm guessing by about 0.5 - 1 second ?

    It sounds like it is starting part way through the first chord?
