Is there a mod out there that.........

just curious, is there a mod out there that has changed the turns from vanilla 1 turn = 2yrs to 1 turn = 1 yr, or even .5 yr.

is this an easy mod or would one have to also edit all the build times and events and such to make it work properly.


i just never liked how 1 turn was 2 yrs and that the characters aged at even a different rate than that.

any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

You can change it yourself or you could try LTC Lands to conquer Mod

I'm playing Stainless Steel 4.1 (don't have kingdoms yet) and I believe that changes the rate to 1.5 years a turn. It also edits all the build times accordingly to match this slightly slower/longer campaign. It's the ideal sort of pace for a player like me who finds vanilla too fast yet slower turn rates too boring.

You can make the change yourself by editing the desc_strat file however you have to bare in mind that build times will remain the same unless you edit all of those too.

also...what makes Clouds Across Europe mod so popular...it has been dl the most of any other mod.

Here is where you need to decide what do you want, you have stated that you wanted a mod with good AI not new skins so maybe next time you should write in your post what exactly you are looking for.

But also you should go ask this question in the Mods thread

SS6.1 is a good mod, though it's not 2TPY. However, in the submods forum there is a 2TPY mod that changes building & recruitment times (etc...) to properly balance it for 2TPY. The submod doesn't do anything else, it just changes the timescale and balances it.
