the mod I currently have installed is Custom Campaign Mod V. 2.
I modified the export_desc_bldg.txt file to up the trade revenues, in the hopes that if the A.I had a little more cash, it would build better buildings and recruit some better armies.
An unintended side effect was that the A.I. began horde-spamming ; stacks and stacks of militia units and merchant cavalry.
Since several of the most flagrant "recruit-spammer" countries only have 3 territories (Spain, Portugal etc), I believe I can safely assert that (for reasons unknown to me) the A.I. is not limited in recruiting to the 'stack' in the desc_bldg file , which should have limited the total units recruitable to the regeneration rate for all countries inherent to the specific buildings.
Question 1:
what code do I have to modify to force the A.I recruiting to clamp to the limits of export_descr_buildings.txt ?
Question 2:
How do I fix the A.I cheat that the A.I. can't go broke ?
I attempted to stem the A.I. recruit spamming by cutting off their cash - blockading ports, blowing up trade buildings with assassins, etc., and even though the A.I. isn't earning much cash - its spending it like a sailor in port on saturday night.
Any suggestions appreciated. After investing 4 hrs searching various current and archived threads on these two scripting/mod issues I decided to bite the bullet and open a thread.
