You can be like them. In the game you can play as the Julii and conquer the other Roman factions, and you can play as Carthage, invade Rome through the Alps and beat the crap out of them.
You won't get Gaius Iulius Caesar simply because the game only has two character names. Hannibal Barca isn't a name in the game, though you could add it yourself.

    How do you add it?

Erm, you'll have to find the file that holds all of the family names. I don't know which one it is right now, but it is one of the descr_strat files I think. You can edit the starting data of characters.
So make a Hannibal Barca with high command in Spain, and let rip.

I've gotten Hannibal as a name with Carthage before, and he received a lot of cool names like "the Conqueror" and "the Cunning". That's as close as you're going to get without editting some things.

Yeah, Hannibal does come as a Carthaginian, but I've never seen a Gaius Julius come up.

Actually, Gaius Julius exists at the start of the Julii campaign, but hasn't come of age, IIRC. Its definitely a possible name as well. So is Hannibal Barca. Or, at least, Hannibal is a potential first name and Barca is a potential last name, so you can definitely get a Hannibal Barca, but getting him at the right time and the right name is nigh impossible.

They refer to the historical battles of Cannae and Gergovia.

There's no historical battle of Cannae. The only historical battle that you get to play as Hannibal in, is Battle of the River Trebia, though you get to fight against him in the Battle of Lake Trasimene. It's strange how they put in those two but not Cannae, even though Cannae was the greatest.

Oh, sorry. Haven't played for a while. But yeah it's strange how they left Cannae out.

Probably cause Cannae wouldnt seem that interesting for a set up battle. I mean the only remarkable thing about that battle is how Hannibal positioned his troops and lead the battle.

The included historical battles all have something more unique about them, although Cannae was indeed a awesome battle

Hmmm, I thought all the battles were meant to be decisive ones whereby if the result had been the opposite, history would be changed. And I think Cannae would count among those.

Yes, but Cannea would also be very hard to have a certain point. I believe in all the historical battles you are in some kind of trouble. The only time in Cannae would possibly be when Rome's cavalry had gone.

Isn't he one of the sons or a family member or something?
Jon had taken Donal and Benjen’s advice to heart: Sam may be fat and pathetic, but he is still a member of the watch, and one of the few black brothers who isn't a rapist or thief. (out of context, this sounds ridiculously racist)

Don't you start with Hannibal, in the Carthaginian Iberian province?

Its a starting family member, if he plays Carthage a lot he'd know. And IIRC, he's correct, either that or its Theogones, but I think he's the one in Lilybauem.
