    Default Trigger question

    I'm trying to mod the adultress ancillary, such that there are different chances of acquiring it depending on the level of inn present.

    My question is, will this type of conditional work

    and SettlementBuildingExists = coaching_house
    Such that the ancillary can be acquired (with this trigger) only when there is a coaching house and none of the other relaxation buildings.

    yes, that conditional will work.

    Keep in mind that if a coaching house exists then so does all tier builds prior to it...

    You may need somthing like the following if you wish to be working with individual tiers...

    and SettlementBuildingExists = tavern
    and SettlementBuildingExists != coaching_house

    Other wise when you call to check if the tavern is true, it will be true if a coaching house is true... this way, it will not fire true if you have a coaching house but are looking for a tavern... am i making sense... this wont fire true when the coaching house fires true...

    ill try to maske it clearwer...

    first moniter is..

    and SettlementBuildingExists = tavern

    second monitor checks for...

    and SettlementBuildingExists = coaching_house

    But when this second one fires true, so does the first one... is that better... lol sorry im not very awake...

    You can use...

    =
    ==
    !=
    <
    >
    !>
    !<
    <=
    >=
    !<=
    !>=

    i might have missed a few that work...
    ...longbows, in skilled hands, could reach further than trebuchets...

    I was following you up to the 7th line or so... :hmmm:

    I'm making a separate trigger for every tier of the inn line. I want it so if you have an inn for instance, only that trigger will fire and not the triggers for brothel, tavern, coaching house and pleasure palace. The idea is, that a minimal chance of getting an adultress exists with a brothel, a little more with an inn, and increasing until there is a good chance with a pleasure palace (since it is more likely for nobility to hang out there).

    I want to avoid the excessive adultery situation that exists right now where practically every general gets a mistress if he stays in a city with a brothel+ for a few turns, but I don't want to nullify the ancillary altogether, it is interesting for the occasional general to get it.

    Actually I would like to add a very little chance of any general getting a lover even in castles and cities with no brothels.

    So if I understand, the first trigger should be like this

    and SettlementBuildingExists = brothel
    and SettlementBuildingExists != inn
    and SettlementBuildingExists != tavern
    and SettlementBuildingExists != coaching_house
    and SettlementBuildingExists != pleasure_palace
    The second like this

    and SettlementBuildingExists != brothel
    and SettlementBuildingExists = inn
    and SettlementBuildingExists != tavern
    and SettlementBuildingExists != coaching_house
    and SettlementBuildingExists != pleasure_palace
    and so on? I take it != means not equal to?

    caralampio

    have you PM'd Quark with your ideas? - he is working on the next major revision of the traits, ancilliaries etc for SS for the next big patch. Might be an idea to see if he is working on anything similar or if he wants to incorporate your ideas into the next revision.
