As the info card says, artillery is WIP (work in progress) :p
The bug that was killing my cannon models has been found and nailed to the floor by KnightsErrant.
There should be a big update/preview on the artillery and once that's done there'll be a patch soon after.

Thanks for posting that picture that Leonn. It's definitely big, unless he's a midget.
Getting it to be that big in game would require some major work as the crew positions would have to be changed, animations would need to be re-done along with some edits to the 'skeleton' of the model. After that it may end up looking unbelievably big.

no hes not a midget,he"s the curator there and he"s six feet two!these things took 10 heavy horses to drag over the abominable roads of the period,accompanied by their tools ammo and all the other stuff they had to have,you can see why artillery trains were so massive,and why so much effort was made to capture them.ive seen a cannon royal and the wheels on that were 9 feet high!

Just a quick update.
There's a hold-up on the guns due to a further 3D lighting issue. KE is looking into it and hopefully once it's fixed I can look at packaging and releasing 1.2.
