Installing question

Hi, i have a problem about the installation.

I follow the istructions but the game crash as soon as I click on the BI_WAR MAP_II in provincial campaign.

I installed rio in this sequence :

Install bi and upgrade to 1.6
Install rio flagellum dei in c:programmi/the creative assembly/rome total war
the same thing with beyond glory
and finally the patch III in the same folder

So i run the game but it crash when i click on the provincial campaign saying me that the "descr_map" has a problem.

Can you help me?

Are you trying to play the mod switcher version?

If the mod switcher ...
Before installing did you do this?
Within the rtw folder copy the bi and change the copied bi folder to rio

Yes...copy it and then rename the copied version to rio. It must be done before installing the mod switcher files..was this the issue?

install rtw
install bi
install patch 1.6
rename bi folder to rio
install invasio barbarorum flagellum dei
install beyond glory
install patch III

maybe an xcopy issue? not sure why this is happenning. You can try downloading the alternative rar version-non mod switcher

The non mod switcher or RaR version comes with a bi and a data folder. Jut like when you open your rtw folder you have a bi and a data folder.

copy ur entire rtw folder, the copied rtw folder is where your Rio IBFD mod and patches will go.

When you open the downloaded rio non mod switcher version you will see a bi folder and a data folder. You will need to drop both the bi folder and then the data folder over your copied rtw folder. This then will copy over your bi and data folder. Let me know if you still don't understand or if you get it going..

2Open the file and copy or drop the bi folder and then the data folder over rtw files copying over all files.

A question... this mod seem not have a lot of invasio barbarorum ruinae romae things. Could I install these in your mod? (such as coloseum, ostia port, wolrd wonders ecc ecc)

P.Scipion, You got the mod switcher going?

It has things the IBRR doesn't have also including a different map and units. Its designed to be a different mod different era, with a different philosophies on game functions. You can mod in IBRR things but try and make sure you know what your doing for it may conflict and crash ur game. So be careful when doing this

Couple things to remember or tips:

-The game can sometime be like a Cavalry charge that seems like your going to slaughter the enemy before you but all of a sudden you find your self getting bogged down in your own mud and stalls... designed for the necessity to rebuild the Roman infrastructure in conquered lands.

- Get your RG or BRG ancillaries for your emperor to better control once theses conquered strongholds.
