Can't play game freezes

So when the game starts I select d then go to custom campaign and select darkages. I select my faction then it freezes immediatly and I find out the the game is not responding. Can anyone help me out?

what OS are you running?

Windows vista 64 bit. but i have the permissions turned off and i still tried running as administrator to be safe.

I read the vista sticky and I've already tried their fixes. I seem to be having a different problem. I can't seem to be able to play any of the mods like this that have a little console before it starts medieval. It lets me start the game and I select my faction then it just freezes. The music keeps playing but when I check task manager it says medieval is not responding.

How long are you waiting before you kill it? The very first time you play a campaign, it will take a few minutes to build the map.

I made a more in depth thread about this ( http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...70#post3817470 ), but the key thing is it won't let me play quick/custom battles either.. the vanilla kingdom works fine for me but SV 3.0 doesn't seem compatible or something

i Think yhere aren't custum battle is SV .
Is this correct SV?

Custom battles are in, it is Historical battles that are not.
