CTD When I Occupy Salona

Twice now, playing as romans, I have besieged salona, occupied by free people. It is turn 20-30. After 1 or 2 turns enemy reinforcments arrive and the full stack sallies out. After I have beaten them, I have anhilated most of the units, I click occupy settlement and get a crash to desktop.

This is the first CTD I have had so far. I am going to withdraw from the battle initially next time, beat the army in the field then besiege salona afterward. I shall edit this post and say what happens.

Great mod so far though, I am impressed.

This often happens and it's very annoying. Try restarting your PC requently to avoid the problem.

This is known as the 'reinforcement CTD' and is part of RTW. I have fought similar battles in the past and more often than not defeated the armies on the field of battle and have occupied the settlement with no problems. There have been some men left in units. However, recently I also encountered the 'reinforcement CTD' - I can only assume that the number of men left in the unit meant that the unit was not destroyed and as there was no settlement to hide in the result was a CTD.

There are some posts around that suggest a solution to this (check out the RTR PE tech support) but that did not work for me.
