yup, happened to me too. i had to attack them first because they were totally ignoring me.

I have no problems with hostilities after war proclamation. Royal AI armies are attacking when you move a parli army nearby. If you play royalist part you have to attack historically because you want to restore your absolute monarchy
Royalist or Parliamentarian, it doesn't matter, the AI should be attacking on turn 8 or 9.

well, im going to scrap the savegames and start again.i"ll download the hotfix and do that again as well, just in case i installed it wrong.
when i do the hotfix thing,as you specify,at no time has it prompted me to overwrite any files.is that a problem?
Are you definitely putting the file in \for_king_or_country\data folder?
Cheers
yes,i right cl the thing on page 1 of this post ,yes?
scratch all that.parli"s attacked turn 8,and promptly threw cromwell AND fairfax straight onto my pikes.
Just wondering, my frind would like to play this mod...you do not have to have kindoms is that right only Medieval II ?
there is really only two mods mabe three for MTWII and thats FKOC SS with perfectly polished and BC. i really think this is a cool mod as there are know....wait for it..... Arrows crossbows just corfite, and lots of it... i allways thought that the musket or gunpowerd never really got a fair play in MTWII but this mod allows you to go musket to musket....cannon to cannon...great.

Cool! I haven't been around for a few days, so I have only just uploaded to moddb. Then I will add it to the site.
Will also give it a test
Playing with the hot fix i get the deliration of war however there i am still neutral until Plymouth is attacked.
i think it would be a good idea to give all the main protagonist higher hitponts as you really do not want them to die to quickly especially when they seem to be suicidal.. i had two chances to kill Charles but pulled my men back, letting him escape. There needs to way a way of stopping them from wanting to commit suicide.
Newcastle has marched on Leeds 1643, Charles tried to take Reading but was repulsed.. So ala in all the game feels better with the hot fix.

@ Gary
only M2TW is needed, but I have Kingdoms too, and it works just fine
Communism: replacing one elite with another since 1917.
Liberalism: the belief of letting people avoid responsibility for their actions.
Hit points won't really help because the general will just keep on fighting until he dies. I wonder if there are any low morale traits that would help to make a general run away should he start taking more losses.i think it would be a good idea to give all the main protagonist higher hitponts as you really do not want them to die to quickly especially when they seem to be suicidal.. i had two chances to kill Charles but pulled my men back, letting him escape. did anybody tried lowering morale to 0? but it can also have one negative result - general will run from battlefield...
I haven't tried 0, but I tried 8 or 9 and it didn't seem to help much. With 1.5 it's rarer that the general will attack pikes due to having a much greater supply of ammo and greater pistol/carbine range. I also removed "start_not_skirmishing" so the AI should be better at moving out of harms way.. I would be happy to see the general flee if he does choose to engage in melee.
I'm testing with the lifeguards having 5 morale and it helps a lot. Once the the general takes too much fire he will flee. I've yet to see him crash into pikes.

I think the hot-fix is working pretty well. The AI is a lot more aggressive now, although I've still been able to defeat them handily. I haven't seen too many full stacks since I wiped out the Earl of Essex & Co. at the start, but they're decent. Look forward the permanent solution.

So AD could you tell what the AI hotfix was?
Any settlement governed by a general with 0 movement points will never send out any units. The garrison just grows and grows. To fix it I removed the MP-20 from the GovernmentZeroMovement trait.

Why ain't there any ships recruitable, as some of the tasks ask for port blockades, and obviously there would have been ships about
