    Default Two Pirate Questions

    1. If I set the recruitment time and cost to 100 turns and 1,000,000 denarii respectively, will that make pirate ships less common?

    2. Can "pirate" biremes be recruited on the faction level?

Thanks in advance and I apologize if this is in the wrong section.

    1. To change the pirate spawn rate, you have to change the corresponding value in descr_strat.txt.

    2. Yes, but you'd need to make a bunch of changes to EDU, DMB, and EDB in order to do so, as well as possibly need a graphics editing program depending how thorough you want to be.

Your welcome, and it's in the perfect section.

No, to make pirate ships less common you need to increase the "pirate_spawn_value" in the descr_strat text.
    Code:
    brigand_spawn_value 10
    pirate_spawn_value 28

Yes, though its harder to do as you have to edit a number of files. I cant recall exactly which ones they were, perhaps this tutorial will help you.

Edit: SquidSK beat me to it.
