Do anyone has the same problem when controlling italy.
and you have about as many cities as fingers.
Then shazam, blackscreen and back to the drawing-board?
The game hangs apparently...:hmmm:
cirka 245 BC, controlling Italy, sicily...

That's strange. Can you tell me what happens immediately prior to the CTD?

I think i fixed it.
The problem occured when taking a city!
And then sacking it, letting the rebels rule.
But the rebels let the game hangs...![]()
Darn. That CTD shouldn't happen anymore. Which city is it? I'll double-check that the CTD fix works properly there.

I see an occasional CTD when letting a city rebel or trading it to another faction. If I wait another turn and try again, the problem goes away. I experienced the same thing in RTRPE at times, so I think it's either a RTW or an RTR based issue.
Bloody hell.
its still causes a hangup...
Annoying, after conquering, all of italy, sicily, south of greece, and most of carthage, the game hangs.
The city is carthago nova..yes i was planning to kick the spaniards back
in the grotto-stage, but was ...CTD..
.. but it is a bloody good game..

I wish I could figure out what causes that. We have _two_ different versions of the CTD fix for that installed.
So Carthago Nova causes a CTD after you capture it?

When did the CTD occur? When you hit "capture/enslave/exterminate" or during the following turn?

That's strange. I double-checked and both revolt CTD fixes should have been operable there. Not sure what to tell you.Sometimes they just don't work.

Im starting a roman campaign brand new!
And this time, im going to boost the time-scedule (cheating)
to get the marius reform about 240 BC.
And then sack the cities one by one
to see what it is...
I will be posting it if i can figure out what city( what problem it is)...
Im not shure if its centered in Carthago Nova at all...![]()
I think i have nailed the problem firm.
The problem occurs when you forget to click the 4-pth script, in
the beginning at each game.
If you forgot to click one minute later it screws up, the rebel cities...
I think..![]()
Ah, interesting. I hadn't tried playing it without the script.

I wonder if clicking to make the adviser picture disappear causes the memory space for running the advise script to be cleaned up. If there is a script execution at the time of a possession change (e.g. to place units and/or cause building damage), then we'd get a collision if the RTW programmers designed the game to only be able to execute one script at a time (or if someone got lazy and used the adviser script context for running the possession change script). :hmmm:
EDIT: On the other hand, I've seen this exact same CTD in RTRPE, so unless there are two reasons a CTD occurs at that time (not impossible), I'm wrong here.
After exceesively testing,
it has something to do with the script.
If you (as i)
Listen to mp3-music at the sametimes, and ALT+TAB to the desktop.
That also screws the script up.
so:
1. click on the lady.
2. dont ALT+TAB to the desktop while gaming...![]()
