    Default some feedback...

    hey guys,
first off, GRREAT RECORD, er I mean MOD!

I've been playing this pretty much non-stop since the beta was released. I'm in the middle of an Arryn campaign right now, embroiled in a savage war against the Lannisters. I am currently assaulting deep into the westerlands, while at the same time I am trying to reclaim the Riverlands so i can give them back to the Tullys,

Anywho, I know its still early beta, but I just had some suggestions I thought up while playing...

    1. rebels: I found it odd that when I was playing as the Martells that rebel armies would pop up with elite Lannister units in them. (i.e. rebel Guards of the Rock, or Westerland Knights). I'm not sure if this is on purpose, but i think its out of place and just canonically inaccurate. (Though I like the Ironmen raiders in the North)

    2. graphically speaking I think it looks weird when Dorne is covered in farms on the strat map. I know its pretty much an aesthetic issue, and possibly an income issue for poor old Dorne, but its a desert.

    3. Dornish units are weak!! A full stack of Dornish spearmen, spear militia, mounted Lorathi sellswords, etc. cant even defeat three units of Oldtown nobles. They're also significantly weaker than Tyrell's basic units. I think some balancing is needed?

    4. I think it would be cool if you added the Bloody Gate as a castle near the Eyrie, but blocking direct access to the Vale. I mean, thats what its there for. It would force players or AI to try and take the Bloody Gate to get to the heart of the vale quickly, or have to take the indirect routes by Coldwater or Redfort.

    5. I know this has been mentioned, but there should only be one direct way to Moat Cailin. I don't know if you can make swamps impassable, but its odd how you can just bypass Moat Cailin to get to the north.

    Thanks for your time!
    Back to the war!

    1. Rebels are not yet finished. New rosters will be drawn up soon.

    2. Dorne is a bit like the outback, IMO. It's farmed, apart from for the deep sands, if I remember correctly.

    3. Dornish troops are supposed to be weaker armoured, and have a culture difference to the rest of Westeros. However, this will be compensated by some benefits (strong trade IIRC). And the stronger units are caused to be stronger by RealCombat. Try a cavalry charge on their unshielded or rear sides to cause maximum destruction. Spear units are meant to hold them in place for a few crucial seconds so you can line up your charge

"Five had been his brothers. Oswell Whent and Jon Darry. Lewyn Martell, a prince of Dorne. The White Bull, Gerold Hightower. Ser Arthur Dayne, Sword of the Morning. And beside them, crowned in mist and grief with his long hair streaming behind him, rode Rhaegar Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone and rightful heir to the Iron Throne."

Regarding Moat Cailin, is not possible just to put really thick, unpassable forest on the east side between the castle and the Bite? It's not strictly accurate to the books, but it replicates the vital importance of the castle quite nicely.

    That could work!

Also, another thing I found, the Rebel General's bodyguard is all chromed out! Its like he's backed by 30 T-1000s! Its quite daunting to say the least...

haha. We've had some of those problems in previous Beta's, I haven't personally run into that yet, but I'm not surprised. I'm sure A diggity dog and Game will take a look at that. They are pretty busy with RL stuff, and without them Storm and myself are pretty much hamstringed.

We are keeping track of all this stuff though, and when A diggity dog and Game get back and we jump back in full time to working on the mod, we'll surely get it cessed out. Thanks for all the feedback and your patience.

PS: I'm sure we can figure something out for the Bloody gate and for a more realistic Moat Cailin as well. Perhaps just a fort at the mouth of the Eyrie? I do this usually straight away with one of my generals.

Enjoy yourselves boys, and be sure to check out my Arryn AAR and my new Dornish one. Perhaps a Greyjoy AAR will be next!

I just don't think a mere fort would do the bloody gate justice. I mean, its said to be impregnable, I know the castles don't really look like "gates" per se, but having one at the entrance to the vale, next to the eyrie would serve the same purpose. Just my two cents.

On another note, perhaps when the team is in full gear again, the Lannister Generals could be skinned with gold armour instead?
