have a question for the developers of this mod.
Browsing around the forums recently , I've stumbled across a this thread http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=185973.
Is there any plan to implement this system or something similar in Westeros?

Most mods already have a heraldry system. And GED's system will be even more of a horror, if you see, he has to code each settlement for each faction, with a massive total of work to do. We'd have even more work to do there, as our mod has more settlements and factions. The current system is good enough.

I agree it would be a pain to code because of the number of settlements involved, and also because this is M2 based not Kingdoms based. I used some Kingdoms only commands. That can be worked around, but still a pain.

What could be done though, is some of the titles from the books, not a title for each castle. Warden of the East, etc. In the books there are 4 Wardens and Robert Baratheon gave both east and west to the Lannisters at the beginning of AGoT much to Eddard Stark's dismay.

Or you could use it for Kingsguard, or Hand of the King, or maybe some other limited titles. Completely up to the dev team though.

btw I downloaded and looked around this mod. Looking good so far.

Ah, I forgot about the wardens. Yeah, they can be modded in as ancillaries, like the offices...but we'll need extra pics to go with them.

That would be GREAT, but how would those ancillaries be granted? As far as I know only the king could grant those titles.

Well thats true, but which King? Hell Renly and Stannis and Joffrey all 3 have their own Hand, and Renly created the Rainbow Guard. Why then wouldnt they each promise/assign the Warden and other titles? Sure its taking a few liberties with the actual events in the book, but then the entire mod does that anyways.

you could pretty much make the wardens as they were just before the war broke out. So Lord Tywin would be warden of the west, jamie warden of the east, i forget who the south is. There all technically still with the Iron Throne King and thus the title would still be acurate. The north would be the only issue, even before fighting started a new warden of the north was never named after Ned lost is head.

The rainbow guard should definitly be added, but then would you move Loras over the Renly's faction? or actually I havent played Renly or High garden, is Loras with Renly or with Highgarden?

Hand of the king would be cool too, although I dont remeber Robb or Renly's Hand. If they didnt name one it would still work that in the game they would, definitly a liberty I dont think anyone would complain about, then its just a matter of who to name who becomes the hand and how if to get it into the game. I still wish you could name your own hier, like in RTW, then it probably wouldnt be extremely hard to adapt the same mechanics to name a hand.........but since I can do none of this anyway I dont really have any idea! LOL
