"Forget everything the mainstream media tells you about the "cycle of violence" and the "peace process." The conflict in the Middle East boils down to one issue; the imposition of Islam upon the world. Hamas, as a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate, is perfectly open about its desire for a global Islamic caliphate. Such an enemy by definition can never be appeased, and must be destroyed."

Thats some nice right-wing rhetoric bollocks you've got their, The other groups agrived by the crusades do not hold a grudge against 'the west' while radical muslims use it as a rallying point to both draw new recruits and agitate agression towards the west, it is not some mysterious liberal group that are trying to apologize for the horrific attacks of 9/11 but to try and understant the causes behind them, and the part we and our ancestors played in the current state of the muslim world, we are both jointly responisble for its current state and the current growth of radical islam.

Incidently Great Britain sent not one crusader to the holy land as it did not exist.

The second video is full of glaring historical inaccuracies, and using a contemparary account of the fall of Constantinople is stupid and a blatant attempt to try to legitimize the Islamophobic view of the video, one may as well trust tacitus' discriptions of the Germanic peoples, or Ceasers' discriptions of the Gauls.

To say that no-one is pissed about the fall of Constantinople is a lie, the Greeks on this board seem to want it, why Europe wasn't botherd is because in 1421 they were either Catholic or Protestant and unconcerned with the collapse of a slowly declining and by this point largely irrelevent GREEK ORTHADOX Empire.

islamophobic, hehe. Youre such an apologist for the muslims, truly men like you are their best ally in the war agaisnt the west. All he is merely stating is that constantinople was as great a city as Jerusalem and about as holy to christians as Jerusalem was too muslim (it aint no mecca or medina!) so if we followed the logic of an apologist (they say a 800 year old or so sacking of a city is the root cause of all the bombs the muslims seem to heart) then most certainly the sacking of constantinople 500 years ago would be the root cause of all the bombs that have not exploded by greeks for turks and catholics. In the very least this vast difference in responses shows how dangerous, backward, destructive and outright totalitarian worldview must be defeated.

Okay, it's Jerusalem though, that's a whole 'nother league. If I am not mistaken they actually prayed towards Jerusalem in early times, but due to political conflicts (I think, I don't exactly remember everything) Muhammad changed the destination to Makkah. I mean, it's the friggin' CITY OF GOD, what do you think?!

I realise it is nothing special but i find it interesting. I would like to know what makes it wrong though, factual errors?

Oversimplification. It's not objective i.e. It's focusing on one side, and over generalising and over simplifying.

Agreed! Our Turkish bro's are tough fighters!

Oh, and it's Istanbul now, not Constantinople, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Why do you care so much about this city? It is just a city that the Greeks have not owned for over 500 years. Do you not think that it is time to forget hurt feeling over this city and move on?
