Tokio Hotel is a German band founded in Magdeburg, Germany in 2001 by singer Bill Kaulitz, guitarist Tom Kaulitz, drummer Gustav Schäfer, and bassist Georg Listing[7]. The quartet has scored four number one singles and has released two number one albums in their native Germany, selling nearly 5 million CDs and DVDs there.[8] After recording an unreleased demo-CD under the name "Devilish" and having their contract with Sony BMG terminated, the band released their first German-language album, Schrei, as Tokio Hotel on Island Records in 2005. In 2007, the band released their second German album Zimmer 483 and their first English album Scream which have combined album sales of over one million copies worldwide and helped win the band their first MTV European Music Award for Best InterAct. The former, Zimmer 483, spawned three top five singles in Germany while the latter, Scream, spawned two singles that reached the top twenty in new territories such as Portugal, Spain and Italy. Their first live album, Zimmer 483 - Live In Europe, was released near the end of 2007. On March 25th, their English album Scream was released in Canada while the album was planned for release on April 29th, 2008 in the United States, but due to Bill Kaulitz's vocal problems, had to be postponed to May 6th.

Twin brother with Bill, Tom Kaulitz plays Lead Guitar for TH. Does the weird hair run in the family?

Georg Listing (Bass Guitar)


Georg is on Bass. His hair again is long - some kind of weird thing going on with TH but is one hell of a good Bass player.

Gustav Schäfer (Drummer)


And finally the normal looking one. Though his face does seem a little young, Gustav is the Drummer, and what a drummer he is.

First I don't like their music.

Second the singer looks like a girl and sing like one and I wouldn't be surprised if in fact he is one

Accept it this bands sucks compared to almost everything, the music is repetitive, the lyrics are unimaginative and the songs structure is always the same.

The problem with today bands is that most of them stick to a simple structure in most of their songs, almost no guitar or musical work whatsoever and a catchy but nonsense chorus and Tokio Hotel is the perfect example of this.

Sorry but in my opinion this band sucks.

Excactly. Music is a form of art, it's supposed to express a thought, a feeling, in an unique, innovative way. Tokio Hotel just looks appealing to hordes of teenage girls who think cute boys = artistic value.

I think their lead singer is just a poor attempt of trying to be Gackt
