Ohhh so KK's Dwarves make you tired now.

    I vote no Hammers.

    1. Tolkein never mentions them

    2. Who uses a hammer anyway

    3. Tolkein wanted to make dwarves use normal weapons and kind of humanize them like he did with elves. A.K.A. Not make them fantasy creatures and make them lifelike. This means Hammers stay in Warhammer.

    4. Whats the point.

While I also agree that war hammers should have no place in this mod, I am obligated to point out that Tolkien makes no mention of crossbows either, at least in the context of the dwarves.

What about crossbows? Did "Jayarar" mention them in the books? Its been a good 8 years since my last reading, I forgot..

I think dwarves should use hammers. And spears. And.. everything that gets the job done and is not extremely against the lore. Tolkien doesn`t mention pineapples in his books. Does this mean that there are no pineapples in Harad or somewhere?

But they add to gameplay and are practical.

With a dwarves thread it had to happen, shall I give you the address to the dwarven strip club?

I don't think Hammers are that unrealistic if they're going to be using Pick Axes. They're both weapons that miners would use, and the historical war hammer looked a lot like a cross between a pick axe and a hammer.

Instead of creating new unit though, I would make them an alternate weapon for the miners, so that some would have pick axes and some would have mining hammers.

Those dwarves just look too damn good , hope you make sure their armor can upgrade all the way to full plate or something similar for most units as I like my dwarves heavily armored.

Keep up the good work, can't wait to see your orcs.

Fantastic job again! Very well done!

Is it possible to see a screenshot of one single Dwarve standing side by side with a Gondorian (for example) just to understand the difference of the size?

I'm not sure is animation for dwarves ready. Those models might still be in regular human size.

KK did make a dwarf-sized skeleton, so I think those units are shorter than men. The animation problem is due to the smaller skeleton, as far as I know.

As I thought would happen, the ones holding the pikes seem to hold them somewhat arkwardly, I think because the units are smaller.
