SPQR mod help

I DLed the patches and installed the thing but nothing happens afterwords. am i suppose to do something? If so can you tell me what and how.

What do you mean nothing happens? You mean you don't get a shortcut? That's cos you have to make one yourself.

thats becous some people need to work during the day.

@ imak : could you give use more detail of your problem. if you are looking for a spqr start icon you need to use the rtw vanile start icon.

Vanilla means the basic un-modified version of RTW. So right after a fresh install with no modifications to the game would be considered Vanilla.

To get it to work you should uninstall RTW completely and then manually delete any remaining files in the folder. Then reinstall RTW and make sure its patched to version 1.5. Then download SPQR. Then install SPQR into your Rome - Total War directory. It should create a shortcut on te desktop. You can also install the Superfactions addon if you want, but its not mandatory.

the shortcut is the one that you use to start the rome total war game (original game)

I could have sworn before I messed with a bunch of stuff that mine had created its own shortcut. Oh well..

no it uses the original vanilla shortcut. you can change the icon to the SPQR icon.

wat version of spqr shud i download if i hav rtw gold eras version? and wat is the rtw directory?

You should download 6.4 and the rtw directory should be Program Files/Activision/Rome - Total War. You install the mod into there.

there is only one version for download and that is 6.4.

if you have the gold edition you don' t need to install the patches becous the gold edition is already patched with version 1.5

so download SPQR version 6.4 and install it. and you are ready to play.
