    Default Your Greatest Ever General?

I am currently playing the Gaul's campaign. My faction leader was one hell of a killer, the furthest East I had reached was Scodra. So I decided to colonise the island, Kydonia to be in a better position to conquer Greece. So I sent my Faction Leader, Lugotrix the Conqueror with 3 Warband units to capture the city. With him as the lone general, I than took Hierapytna, Rhodes, Kyrenes, Palaepaphos and Salamis, all the islands in the Mediterranean. He used to have 20 horses with him, which was surprising as I have never had that many bodyguards with any other general.

I than decided to take Sidon off the Egyptians and again the Leader won me a monumental battle. With only him and his army, I took over Sidon and repelled HUGE Seluecid attacks almost every turn. He than had 2 sons and together with their father they cut into the Seluecid empire, capturing Tyre, Jerusalem and Dium. By than with my empire in the west had still only just reached Anchialus, but the Leader helped gain a massive strategic point in overcoming the Israel & Lebanon part of the massive Seluecid empire.

I stacked 29 Generals near Bylazora and with them I am planning a huge simulatenous attack on the front of the Seleucid's. Unfortunately, Lugotrix whose name had changed to the Bloody-Handed and than again to the Butcher died. RIP

    Command: 10
    Influence: 9
Battle Stars: He had Gold Star and 3 Chrome V's(Don't know correct term) The ones you gain after you get the Gold V's.

So who was your greatest ever General?

Nice! My best was a Roman general named Spurius (forget the second name). He started in Rome and then sailed to my newly-opened Iberian front where he proceeded to lead a single hodge-podge army to conquer the entire peninsula. From there he sailed back to Anatolia where the Seleucids had just backstabbed me and gained a foothold against more than a few of their full stacks. He went on to conquer almost every city on the peninsula from either the Seleucids or the Ptolemies, then marched through the Cilician Gates into Syria and brought Syria, the Levant, and Egypt under Rome's control, gaining the nifty title of "The Mighty" along the way. He eventually died in Antioch where he was massing an army of my new shiny legionaries with his son to head into Mesopotamia and recreate Alexander's empire...

When he died he had 10 Command, 9 Management, and 10 Influence and had passed through countless surnames, ending with The Mighty

Here's my most recent quality General. He may not be the best, but as he's the only one I have a record of atm...then I suppose he wins the title by default.

As you can see he had a nine experience when the pic was taken, and was still relatively young at 45.

Last I saw of him he had a bodyguard of 100 and gained a couple of command stars and influence, before I quit the campaign.

    whoa?
I thought after the 3 golden chevs there isn't anything left?

3 bronze then 3 silver then 3 gold, maximum 9 exp.
Are there actually MORE chevrons to gain? Chrome?

I also thought 9 exp is the max. What would you get after gold chevrons ? Platinum ones ? (bling-bling) Doesn't the gold star indicate the commander of your army ? If you have two general units in one stack, one has a gold star and the other has a silver star, meaning that the one with the gold star is the actual general of that army and only he gets promoted etc after a succesful battle.
