So I'm wondering what faction everybody's playing?
Myself, Parliamentarians for my first campaign. Killed Rupert and Newcastle but lost Cromwell during a London invasion.

Parliamentarians all the way!
Even though I am not permitted to vote in this poll, I'm playing as the Royalists.
Royalists!
Parliamentarians!
Royalists .....its damn hard as well. Im completely out of cash within 2 turns
Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo.
No worries, it gets better after a few turns. Just make sure to bleed your population for every penny, without causing revolts of course, and develop some trade. Paved roads, ports and docks are the cheapest to boost trade early on.
I'm playing as Parliament on H/VH. After defeating the Royalist at Winchester, killing Marmaduke and Forth, I now control South England completely.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
They're called parliamentarians not 'roundheads'...
But Royalists all the way - I love 'what if' campaigns more then historical ones.
Rhio,
What happened to Waller and Haslerig? They're a pretty good combo for taking on Marmaduke and Goring.
My god Cromwell stole Skippon's men!I think I'll move Cromwell into Cambridgeshire next to the Earl of Manchester whom he historically served.
Looks like the Tower halmet trayned bands did you proud. By the way, this is the regiment you used in the battle:

Royalist![]()
Still downloading at the moment...
I'd like to be all Patriotic (sort of) and say Royalist, but the fact is, were I alive then, I would likely have sided with the Parliamentarians.
Royalists because I wanted to charge Charles I into a pike formation.
I say 'wanted' because this has already happened.![]()
Roundhead
God Save King Charles!
Parliamentarians.
I´m really looking forward to their cuirassiers. "Thus I know my Pappenheimers"Oh well, about a decade too late and a couple of hundred miles away, but still.
Life is a sequence of missed opportunities
