    I was fighting a custom battle, playing royalist. Opponents were Covenanter pikemen and musketeers. I had practically won the battle, I only had to take out the enemy's cannons. I then noticed that some of the Covenanters who had been broken, weren't moving and when I ordered my pikemen, they didn't engage, but simple walked passed them.

    Here are screens of the bug

    Thanks Rhio. I've also noticed this bug before.

    Did you notice if any of the enemy musketeers behaved in this way?

    If it's just the pikemen then I presume this bug comes from the custom pikeman animation.

    Cheers

    So far I've only seen this behaviour by pikemen.

    I've got this weird bug where an awesome mod is released in a very short space of time. I know it shouldn't happen, and usually it never does, but this one time it has! Please explain, I can't understand how it happened :p

    I'll release a hotfix for the pikes tomorrow. Unfortunately it will put the pikemen back to their vanilla M2TW stance.

    cheers

    I'm suspecting you're quite the perfectionist, but honestly, it's only a very small bug which doesn't change the outcome of the battles, so if I had to chose between this bug and the awful pikemen behaviour from vanilla, I'll take the bug.

    Giovi,

    Can you go into your M2TW folder, open system.log.txt and copy/paste the last few lines into this thread? Also can you open your for_king_or_country.cfg and add these lines:

    [misc]
    bug_report = true

    Then start a new campaign. When it crashes goto Medieval II Total War\reports folder, open the .txt file and paste the contents here. I have a feeling it's not the same crash as I was having before.

    Here is a possible fix you should try:

    Open your for_king_or_country.cfg

    Click Edit > select all. Hit delete

    Paste the follow lines in to the file.

    [features]
    mod = for_king_or_country
    [video]
    widescreen=0
    movies = false
    [game]
    allusers=1

    Cheers

    Hey, I've been able to start a campaign all right, decided to fight a battle on the battle map, it went to a loading screen which completed, then I caught a glimpse of my men on the battlefield before it CTD, with the message "Medieval 2 has encountered an unspecified error and will close"

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Hmmm that sounds like the bug I was having. What graphics card and drivers do you have?

    The Parliamentarian Lifeguard use the crossbow sound when firing their carbines for some reason, other than that, no faults!

    A very small thing, but on a custom battle at Marston Moor I was very surprised to see an aztec temple on the map. No screenies I'm afraid as I haven't figured out how to on my new laptop - you'll have to trust me here

    Did the ground go black and then ctd?

    Check your system.log.txt file in your Medieval 2 Directory and post its contents in a spoiler tag. Might help AD discovery your bug. I did a fresh install of M2TW and I haven't experienced a ctd yet.
