    Default Making gunpwder stronger

    How do I make gunpowder units such as musketeers and arquebuses stronger? What file do I need to go to and what changes do I have to make? I think that the guns in Stainless Steel are a little to weak. Everything else is fine though. Thanks to anyone who answers.

    Go to the export_descr_unit.txt file in ss/data folder and change the attack(stat_pri) value of desired units!

    keep in mind though that they are using arquebuses and muskets and not winchesters or dragunovs so they should be (a bit) lame...

    Haha! But I can imagine it could be fun seeing those altered muskets are as good as sniper rifles of present day

    Well...if u consider similar having difficulty hitting the broad side of a barn from 300m distance and sniping the farmer working in there on his left ear ...then they are practically identical allready

    1 squad with AK47s and loads of ammo could probably kill a whole medieval army but eventualy they would get trampled and would burn to the stake for witchcraft...

    edit the projectile file to increase accuracy among different types of guns or increase the velocity. This will make the guns more effective ultimately increasing the strength of a gunpowder unit.

    There are changes made to gunpowder units in the beta changes in Real combat by point blank with help of others.

    At 50 yards or closer, they should drop the enemy far more effectively than what I am seeing. But that's just me and I like warts.
