    Default Crash - quotes.txt

I'm experiencing a crash and I'm 95% certain it's due to my quotes.txt. I didn't edit the structure or re number the file, I only edited the content.

The crash only occurs when I launch a new campaign. If I remove the quotes.txt and bin from the text folder then I no longer get the crash.

There are no errors in the system.log.txt. This is the crash report log:

Does anyone know if there are some hardcoded limits? Perhaps there's a min/max for line number? Or how many authors can have the same data?

Here is my quotes file if anyone would like to help.

    Cheers

From my checking you're not missing a { or }, 'author' and 'quote' are not spelled wrong, and you don't seem to have a quote with no author or vice versa. So I can't help you. My only advice is to get a copy of the vanilla quotes file and slowly add you version to it.

Also I don't think there's a limit to the number of quotes you can have (my Eras mod has 240). Though you have to edit the 'data/descr_transition_screen.txt'.

Loaded this up in excel and compared against original
    1. All {Author} and {Quote} values/text marry up
    2. Could not find any symbol character that might be illegal
    3. Length of quotes is longer - vanilla has a max of 255, yours go up to 332 (Quote 34), is there a limit?

Thanks for checking this gents. A few hours after i made the first post I had a CTD WITHOUT the quotes file.

    Deeply depressing stuff...

I had (and resolved) a VERY similar crash issue in our Paeninsula Italica. What you're experiencing is that the CTD happens right when you press Start Campaign, or no crash may happen and everything proceeds as normal, am I understanding you correctly?

I have since fixed the bug but yes that was happening.

The bug was fixed by removing faction_standings code from the bottom of descr strat.
