Editing globallighting files
In SS 6.1 there's this texture file for the sky which I particularly hate, sunset_rain. How can I get rid of it?
I've tried deleting it, substituting it with vanilla's sunset_rain, even deleting the whole globallighting folder but nothing happens. If I go to a battle which happens raining in the sunset, I get the same ugly sky.
Why don't the changes I make to that file register in the game? My best choice would be to return to vanilla version for sunset_rain, but how do I do it?
I already asked this at the SS forum but no one there seems to have an answer.

Re: Editing globallighting files
The sky is an image file, they are named stuff like mid-morn_cloudy.texture. I doubt if they changed those in SS, but Kingdoms uses different ones than M2 does. Instead of deleting them just find the ones you like and make copies of it and rename. Then stick them in your SS globallighting folder.

Re: Editing globallighting files
Yes, it is sunset_rain.texture. I've tried substituting it with another sunset_rain_texture I like, or deleting it, but it persists.
Edit: Found the answer: I spent all day on it but I found it. I had to delete (well, put aside in a backup folder) not only sunset_rain_texture, but all other files in the globallighting/sunset/textures folder that have names beginning with sunset_rain or sunset_storm. Also, remove the file globallighting/sunset/sunset_cloudy.lighting.
