Shogun issues...

Hello everybody, I've got a tiny issue with Shogun: Total War - Warlord Edition. Even after patching the game, I find that targeting units during a battle is one of the most frustrating things ever. Normally, the cursor should change to the shape of a sword/bow when moved over an enemy unit, but for some reason I'm finding that the cursor hardly ever changes to that when I move it any which way I like over an enemy unit(s). Needless to say, this makes winning battles pretty difficult, given that I have extreme difficulty even getting my troops to attack the enemy in any kind of cohesive manner. Any ideas why this problem exists?

You mean the issue where you try to point the cursor somewhere and the unit goes somewhere totally unrelated? I'm having that issue too. It's in MTW too.

It's an Nvidia drivers problem, I have it too and have looked for a solution but there appears to be none so I'm getting an ATI card asap.

Be careful there, as apparently some ATI cards suffer from the same problem when playing STW/MTW.

What great support from Nivida , so to fix the issue i'd have to go out and spend a 150 or more dollars on a new video card just to play a old game like MTW or STW?

yes but you can go back to an older driver if it's a problem, Nvidia you can't :/

I wanted to start a new thread, but the chances of someone actually reading it is very low.
So, I appologize in advance for posting what I'm about to ask in this thread.
I've played STW since it first came out, and one thing that has annoyed me about the game is the missing famous generals for the factions, so I tried to mod the "LOC" files that has names in them, i.e. adding Baba Nobufusa, Ikeda Terumasa, Hattori Hanzo, etc etc to the game, yet the names don't show up in the game. Does anyone know if this can actually be done? Or are the files hard coded somehow?
